Greetings to the U16 Cyclones for the eagerly anticipated 2024-25 hockey season! I am honored to lead as head coach this year, bringing experience deeply rooted in the Cyclones tradition.

My journey with hockey began right here in our territory, where the Cyclones provided me with cherished memories, from playoff championships to provincial semi-finals. As a player, I had the privilege of playing at various levels, from Jr. A to NCAA and USports hockey.

As an advocate for development, I’ve earned certifications in Development I and High Performance I and have dedicated past summers to coaching at hockey camps and running development sessions. My coaching journey has seen me serve as a coach in different capacities for the Carleton Ravens, the Cyclones, and the Kemptville 73’s. As a coach, I strive to improve and refine my knowledge, skillset, and approach continuously. I’ve been fortunate to contribute to the growth and development of players across different age groups, focusing not only on skill and tactical development but also on fostering character, camaraderie, perseverance, and grit.

In the spirit of our collective journey, I wish to underscore three non-negotiable principles for the 2024/25 season:

1. Desire to Improve: Let every practice and game be an opportunity for growth. Embrace challenges as stepping stones to excellence, and never lose sight of your potential for improvement.

2. Being a Good Teammate: Our team is a family, bound by shared goals and values. Cultivate kindness, respect, and support for one another, for it is through unity that we achieve greatness.

3. Dedication to Hard Work, Perseverance, and Grit: In the face of adversity, it is our unwavering determination, perseverance, and gritty resolve that will propel us forward. Embrace the grind, embrace the process, and let your commitment to excellence shine through in every endeavor.
